A tool that can create a XML file from the query results to a SQL Server.
Export Query to XML tool allows you to export results of a query execution to XML documents. This database export tool supports all current versions of Microsoft SQL Server (2000, 2005, 2008 and Express editions). Limited support for 6.0 and 6.5 versions is also available. The program has easy to learn and to use "wizard" graphical user interface. The interface is simple and lets you specify the server and the data source as the initial choices. You are then required to enter the user name and password if you are accessing a secure database. Then the details of the database to be accessed are entered. The wizard then takes you to the next step. For creating the queries the interface provides a lot of helpful prompts. It provides you all the alternatives possible, depending on the data source choices made, that are possible at each stage of the query.
For example for a query using the keywords, "select", "from", "where", "order by" you will get helpful prompts such as "orderdate", "ShipName", "ShipDate" etc. You get similar helpful alternatives for the other words too and all it takes to form a query is to click on the right words. The query results found are then transferred to a XML format and the result file created. This handy utility helps database developers and database administrators to create query-based XML document within seconds. The application supports predefined data sources (DSN) as well as direct connections by server name it can handle trusted connections to SQL server. Project files are supported so that repeated settings and configuration need not be decided again and again. Different date and time formats are supported through $DATE$ and $TIME$ macros. Command line support is available in the Pro version of the product that helps operations even smoother for experienced users.
